The South Neighbourhood Centre

About Us

The South Neighbourhood Centre has been around for thirty years and does many different things for the benefit of the people living in the area, which includes Eastlakes, Botany, Mascot, Daceyville, Banksmeadow, Matraville, Kingsford, Rosebery, Hillsdale and Pagewood.

SENC is a non-profit community based organisation managed by a voluntary Board of Directors made up from local community members and services.

Some of the things South East Neighbourhood Centre does are:

Advice & Information (helping you find things out)

Before and After School Care and Vacation Care (helping

your children)

Casework (helping you solve problems)

Classes (helping you learn)

Community Transport (helping you get around)

Groups (helping you meet other people)

Group Outings (helping you get out and about)

Referrals (helping you get other services)

Respite Care (helping you at home)

Social Support (helping you stay in touch)

Volunteering (helping you get involved)

The people who work at the Centre are friendly, professional and they can speak different languages. If they can't solve your problem they will find you somebody else who can. We call this a referral. We can refer people to other services. Like Home Modifications (help with your home repairs) or Meals on Wheels (food delivered to your door) or legal aid (help with your legal problems) or a hundred other services and agencies.

If you use one of our services, you can always use another. So tell your friends about us. Ring us up, drop in for a talk and learn more about what we do. We are here to help you.
