Toy Library

South East Neighbourhood Centre's Toy Library has over 100 toys available for families with children 0–8 years old. You don't even have to live in South East Sydney to access the Toy Library! The Library is open Monday–Friday, 9am–4:30pm, at Shop 68, Eastlakes Shopping Centre, giving your children access to a variety of educational and recreational toys to enhance their cognitive, social, emotional, cultural and physical development in the important first eight years of your children's lives. Out of School Care (SMOOSH)

The South East Neighbourhood Centre provides before and after school and vacation care at Gardeners Road Public School. SMOOSH caters for children from Gardeners Road Public School in term time and all schools in vacation care. Find out more

Playgroup

Monday Playgroup
Run in partnership with Randwick TAFE Outreach at Gardeners Road Public School, this is a free, two-hour Playgroup for mums, dads, grandmas and grandpas to bring their 0–5 year old children, encouraging families who have children with special needs to bring their child. Based on the Supported Playgroup model, weekly activities are created by experienced staff based on themes, books, songs and fun activities. Families are encouraged to get involved. Wednesday Multicultural Playgroup
Run with the Junction Neighbourhood Centre and located on Maroubra Bay Public School grounds in the Schools as Community Centre (SaCC) rooms is a buzzing Supported Playgroup. This is a two-hour session for all families who have children who are not yet attending school, providing another opportunity to become familiar with a local school and meet local parents and grandparents, even nannies! Each week activities revolve around one or more celebrations occurring in the week around the world. Families are encouraged to get involved. Read more
