Multicultural Liaison Program
The multicultural program helps to bring many people together in classes, groups, bus trips, activities and events, and also offers individual help and casework. We can help you to understand and fill out forms and applications if you are looking for a home or a job. By meeting other people from the community you can make new friends and have a good time. There are many classes to choose from as well as support groups.

Outreach Program
Outreach means that part of the Neighbourhood Centre takes place at different locations. It also means that other organisations and agencies provide services at our locations. Contact us and find out what’s going on where and when.

HACC Support Program
HACC means Home and Community Care, and at the Neighbourhood Centre it is made up of: Food Distribution, Community Transport, Social Support, and Respite Care. The Home and Community Care program is designed for the frail aged, people with disabilities, if you are a carer of a frail aged person or someone with a disability. We can also refer you to other HACC programs in the area if you want.

Food Services
The Food Services Program delivers fresh fruit and vegetables to frail aged people, people with a disability and their carers who live in the Botany and Randwick areas.

Community Transport Program
We can help you get to the shops, to the doctor, to the library, the park or you can go out for a bus trip with other people from the community. The Neighbourhood Centre also has social bus trips and outings for the frail aged, people with disabilities and their carers. This is a fun way to take a break from the normal routine.

Social Support Program
Social Support can provide you assistance with shopping, banking, paying bills, getting to the doctor as one of our volunteers or special needs workers can visit you in your home if you want some company or somebody to talk to.

Respite Care Program
If you are caring for someone who is frail aged or has a disability, a respite carer can come and take your place outside work hours to give you a break. That way, you can do anything you need to do at the shops or go to an appointment or just relax and take a break from the normal routine.

Volunteers

SENC welcomes any person who would like to volunteer their time and help us with jobs around the office, teaching, home visits, shopping and transport. If you have some spare time and are interested in getting involved with the community, volunteering is a good thing to do. Each year we hold a celebration for the volunteers to say thankyou for all their help.
