Volunteers are people who give their time for free. As a non-profit organisation the South East Neighbourhood Centre welcomes volunteers to be involved in many different programs and projects.

If you enjoy being busy, having fun, meeting new people, learning new skills and gaining work experience while helping others and making a difference in the community then volunteering is the answer.

You can never give too little time!

The Centre is happy to talk to anyone who wants to volunteer and will help you find what you are looking for.

How can you become an SENC volunteer?

SENC volunteer awards and recognition

South East Neighbourhood Centre is passionate about recognising its volunteers. In addition to activities in National Volunteer Week (May) and International Volunteer Day (5 December), SENC recognises the valuable voluntary effort of people and presents the Maisie Foster Volunteer Award to one of its outstanding volunteers. The Award is dedicated to the recognition and contribution volunteers make to the South East Neighbourhood Centre and the community.

South East Neighbourhood Centre is a Member of The Centre for Volunteering (Volunteering NSW) which ensures all of its member organisations protect their volunteers via Volunteer Accident Insurance and adhering to Volunteering Australia's National Standards for Involving Volunteers in Not for Profit Organisations.
